Commissioner Andy Kerr called the meeting to order.

The pledge was recited.

A moment of silence was taken in remembrance of the life of John Stone.

The Commissioners took time to recognize the Clerk and Recorder George Stern and Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Shrader for their years of service to Jefferson County.

Commissioner Kraft-Tharp: Commissioner Kraft-Tharp reminded everyone that today is Colorado Gives Day and encouraged us all to give as much as we can as it truly helps those in the community that are struggling. She also spoke regarding the quarterly meeting the Commissioners attended with municipalities to discuss affordable housing and the homelessness issues that we face in Jefferson County.

Commissioner Dahlkemper: Commissioner Dahlkemper gave a heartfelt message of condolence and support for those who lost lives and loved ones in the Club Q shooting. She also acknowledged that the County Manager's Office, Facilities, and the Public Affairs team moved quickly to show support and to remember the victims. She also spoke on her visit to the Jefferson County Center for Mental Health as they opened a new facility to help the chronically homeless. As a member of the International Ladies Forum Commissioner Dahlkemper was glad to see that Porchlight was awarded a $10,000 grant, Family Tree was awarded funds as well. The Commissioner would also like to get the word out about the Internet survey on broadband and how important community feedback is.

Commissioner Kerr: Commissioner Kerr spoke on the Ball Aerospace tour and the contribution to the Hubble Telescope that this local company has made and to keeping Colorado in the exploration of the Universe. Commissioner Kerr also toured the Intervention Community Corrections Services campus where the focus is to get those who have paid their debt to society integrated back into society. District Attorney King will be having a grand opening of the Pathway's Diversion Facility today at 4:00PM was also acknowledged by Commissioner Kerr, a program that strives to help those with low level charges stay out of the justice system.

There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
